Scoot introduces latest enhancements for guests flying on its all-new 787 Dreamliner fleet

Winner of Singapore’s top marketing accolade for the second year running, Marketer of the Year 2015 Scoot is raising the game with an enhanced ScootBiz, inflight Wi-Fi, revamped ScooTV that streams to personal devices, Web Check-in and Scoot-to-Gate to beat airport queues, airport transfer bookings, as well as PlusPerks to earn KrisFlyer miles. 

Scoot, which has been voted 2015 Best Low Cost Airline in Asia Pacific[1], is rolling out the latest initiatives to further elevate the guest experience following its transition to a brand new 787 Dreamliner fleet – setting it apart from other low-cost carriers.

ScootBiz offers a premium option for guests seeking greater comfort and convenience, especially on longer flights. ScootBiz guests enjoy a roomy full-leather cradle seat with a 38″ (96cm) seat pitch, 22″ (56cm) width, 8″ (20cm) recline and fully adjustable headrests and legrests.

With the newly enhanced ScootBiz, guests can now enjoy even more benefits including:

  • 30kg of check-in baggage (up from 20kg)
  • Two pieces of cabin baggage up to 15kg
  • Hot, light or premium meal with one drink of choice
  • ScooTV inflight entertainment streaming to personal devices (where available)
  • In-seat power
  • Priority check-in and boarding
  • Priority disembarkation (where available)

ScootBiz offers tremendous value for guests who want to enjoy some luxury in their travel experience.

Inflight connectivity and entertainment

Guests who wish to access emails, social networking or simply surf the Internet during their flight will appreciate Scoot’s inflight connectivity. Available in three timed sessions – one hour (USD11.95), three hours (USD16.95) or 24 hours (USD21.95), Scoot’s inflight Wi-Fi[2] can be purchased before and on-board the flight, with no data usage limit within each session.

For entertainment junkies, ScooTV is back and better. Scoot’s re-launched streaming inflight entertainment service delivers Hollywood and Asian movies, popular TV series and treats for kids onto guests’ personal devices including mobile phones. ScooTV is complimentary for ScootBiz guests and available at an all-in price of USD11 for other guests, with access lasting the entire duration of a flight sector.

Skip ahead with Web Check-in and Scoot-to-Gate

Scoot guests departing from Singapore are now eligible for Web Check-in[3], which offers greater convenience for guests who wish to avoid long queues at check-in counters.

Guests who have completed Web Check-in with no check-in baggage or document check requirements may also be eligible for Scoot-to-Gate. With Scoot-to-Gate, guests can bypass airport counters and head straight to departure immigration and onward to the boarding gate for ultimate ease.

Scoot guests are now able to add on ground transfer options to their itineraries, complementing Scoot’s accommodation options and ensuring guests enjoy a truly seamless journey beyond the airport.

Airport transfers, hotel bookings and insurance purchase are now available within the  “Manage My Booking” function, which can be accessed even by guests on the go through the Scoot mobile app.

Scoot’s newly introduced PlusPerks[4] bundle enables guests to earn KrisFlyer miles on eligible fares, enjoy preferred seat selection (including extra legroom where available), access priority check-in and boarding privileges, and even make one flight or name change with change fees waived[5]. The bundle is available at an all-in-one price of SGD39 and SGD59 per guest per flight for short and long haul flights respectively. KrisFlyer members can also redeem Scoot flights with their frequent flyer miles.
