Scoot, Asia/Pacific’s Best Low Cost Airline, is pleased to announce that, from 1st May 2015, all Australian routes will be operated exclusively by Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
The airline’s third 787, named “Inspiring Spirit”, will commence serving the Gold Coast starting tomorrow (1st May); Perth and Sydney are already exclusively served by 787s, as will be Melbourne when flights start November. Outside Australia, Scoot’s Hong Kong and Bangkok routes are already operated by 787s.
Scoot’s latest 787 was delivered to Scoot at Boeing’s Charleston, South Carolina factory on 23rd April and arrived in Singapore on 26th April.
Scoot’s CEO, Campbell Wilson, said “Scoot’s Dreamliners have raised the bar for budget travel. Everyone’s loving the extra comfy seats, new cabin environment that’s literally more refreshing, features such as inflight Internet connectivity and in-seat power, along with all the other features people have come to expect from Scoot. Add our unbeatable airfares and unique Scootitude, there’s no better way to get outta here than on Scoot’s 787.”
With more 787s entering service in the months ahead, we’re able to increase our frequencies to Australia. Sydney and Perth will increase to daily, and Gold Coast will operate five times weekly. Melbourne will commence with five times weekly from 1st November 2015. All flights will be non-stop to and from Singapore.
