Sea Cloud Cruises launches its sailing voyages catalogue for 2017

Sea Cloud Cruises, the Hamburg operator of small, fine sailing cruises, presents its new program for the 2017 season. Culinary Cruise:
Culinary delights are top of the list on the journey with Sea Cloud II from Barcelona, Spain to Porto, Portugal. Guests’ palates will be pampered by two starred chefs of FEINE PRIVATHOTELS together with Sea Cloud II’s head chef. There will also be an invaluable insight into the trendy drink, gin.

Travel dates: Barcelona, Spain – Porto, Portugal, 26th May 2017 to 3rd June 2017, from € 3,525 per person in a twin outside cabin (early-booking available until 30th November 2016).

Biking Cruise:
Whoever sails with Sea Cloud II in August 2017 from Hamburg to Bilbao, Spain, will experience the World Heritage Site of Bruges with its charming mediaeval old town, Belle-Île-en-Mer in Brittany and the Basque gourmet-mecca of San Sebastian.
For the more active guests wishing to discover the Atlantic coast in the footsteps of Claude Monet, the terranova cycling package is highly recommended and can be booked as an option with the cruise.

Travel dates: Hamburg, Germany – Bilbao, Spain, 21st to 31st August 2017, from € 4,415 per person in a twin outside cabin (early-booking available until 30th November 2016). Rate for the optional cycling excursion package: € 795 per person which includes sightseeing and entrance fees, guided bike tours and hikes, transfers, bike rental, support van and beverage breaks.

Music Cruise:
World-famous composers, grandiose opera houses and fantastic voices – in Italy and Spain the world of music is at home. During the sailing cruise from La Valletta, Malta to Valencia, Spain, guests staying on Sea Cloud II will have the opportunity to enjoy special musical moments in Palermo and Valencia. In Palermo the Teatro Massimo, Italy’s largest theatre, and in Valencia the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, one of the world’s most important centers for theatre, opera and music, are on the program. A music expert will be aboard to enrich the program with presentations from the world of music. In addition there will be two concerts aboard.

Tasting Cruises:
There will be three short taster-trips in 2017. During the long Whitsun weekend, guests of Sea Cloud II can enjoy a trip from Porto to Bilbao along the Galician coast. Alternatively in August, they can experience the summer in this region, on the same route from Bilbao to Lisbon. Highlights of the trip are a visit to the pilgrimage town of Santiago de Compostela and the Cies Islands nature reserve. In contrast a Venice to Venice round-trip on Sea Cloud where guests will visit Rovinj in Istria, Trieste with its Habsburg history and the island of Rab.

Autumn destinations 2017:
Before the two windjammers wend their way across the Atlantic to their winter quarters, there are two colourful Canaries programs with very different perspectives. On the one hand Sea Cloud offers a sailing trip with no fixed schedule and on the other Sea Cloud II guests will have the opportunity to sail during the day and then spend plenty of time in the ports of call overnight to discover the country and its peoples.

Winter destinations 2016/17:

As the 2017/2018 winter season is still far in the future, Sea Cloud Cruises would like to share with you their objectives for the coming winter 2016/2017:
Sea Cloud will, after a long trip to Cuba, sail mainly to the British Virgin Islands, Lesser Antilles and The Grenadines. Sea Cloud II makes her opener in the Lesser Antilles and then sets course for the ABC Islands, Costa Rica, Central America and Cuba.
