Sea World Resort on the Gold Coast has again broken its own record for group buying by generating more than $5.75 million in revenue and selling in excess of 32,000 room nights in a week-long campaign in partnership with

Sea World Resort & Water Park, part of Gold Coast based Village Roadshow Theme Parks has sold over  6400 five-night family holiday packages – that means an additional 22,500 people coming to the Gold Coast.

547867Sea World Resort General Manager Bikash Randhawa said the result cemented the resort’s status as one of the top resorts for families in Australia.

“The Cudo campaign was assisted by our strong brand reputation and the fact we are continuing to focus on creating the best customer experience for guests. That’s why so many people are staying here and coming back year after year.

“Here at Sea World Resort we have invested significant capital by renovating our rooms, installing free Wi-Fi and introducing new attractions like the Nickelodeon themed aqua adventure playground ‘SpongeBob SplashBash’ with its spectacular musical fountain and nightly LED light show. There is also the newly refurbished Nickelodeon Kids Club that the children love, and they can also meet their favourite Nickelodeon characters every morning in the lobby.

“We’ve also introduced a unique Dolphin Discovery experience which is exclusive to Sea World Resort guests. It’s all about making the holiday experience the best that it can possibly be,” Mr Randhawa said.

Cudo CEO, Adam Schwab, agreed that the response to the Sea World Resort offer has been unprecedented.

“While we were confident that the Australian public would embrace the Sea World Resort offer, we never expected this kind of reaction. The strength of the Sea World Resort brand in Australia is unparalleled. The offer is not only the biggest ever seen in Australia, it’s set to be the largest single travel campaign in internet history ever – anywhere in the world,” Mr Schwab said.

The revenue for the offer makes it one the most successful flash deals of any type. The Sea World Resort offer is the only Australian offer to appear in the top 10 global deals which are dominated by the United States. On a per capita basis, the Sea World Resort deal is easily the most successful in internet history.
