SeaDream I and II are amongst the few passenger vessels able to squeeze through the narrow circa 1893 Corinth Canal; SeaDream I will transit the Canal during its September 2017 Wine Voyage from Athens to Rome.

And by contrast guests will also have the opportunity during that same week’s sailing to visit one of Italy’s premier boutique wineries, Benanti on the slopes of Mt Etna volcano on the island of Sicily, meet the Benanti family, and taste their wines alongside local cheeses, salami and fresh-baked bread.

SeaDream’s unique Wine Voyages will enable all onboard guests to participate in vineyard walks and tastings at select wineries, complimentary onboard tastings pre-dinner on several nights, and to choose to join in optional-cost dinners onboard with the winemakers and their wines, or after the tastings to simply enjoy SeaDream’s regular nightly gourmet dining which includes other-label wines.

The seven Wine Voyages on the 112-guest SeaDreams between April and October 2017 will sail from Lisbon to Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome) round-trip, Piraeus (Athens) to Civitavecchia (on September 23 withTaittinger Wines,) Civitavecchia- Venice, Civitavecchia-Nice and Nice-Malaga, and range from 7- to 11-days.

Prices begin from US$4399pp twin share; full details from Julie Denovan, Director of Business Development Australia and New Zealand (02) 9958 4444, [email protected] or visit www.seadream.com.

Included are wines with lunches and dinners, premium drinks from the open bars, power and sail water sports, mountain bikes for shore outings, onboard golf simulators and fitness centres, and port charges and taxes.

“These increasingly popular Wine Voyages allow guests to explore the flavours and history of some of the world’s most renowned wineries, as well as several less familiar but equally notable vineyards in the Mediterranean,” said President of SeaDream Yacht Club, Bob Lepisto. “Whether wine connoisseurs or novices looking to educate their palate, guests will appreciate the beauty and expertise found in these exclusive and elegant vineyards.
