Seek New York Tours is pleased to offer New York sewing tours for the summer travel season. A mix of fabric shopping and garment industry history, these tours are ideal for ideal for home seamstresses, fashion designers, avid crafters, and more.

Seek’s New York City sewing tours are also popular with Project Runway fans, fashion design and merchandising students, young stylists, and anyone with an interest in the history of the garment industry in New York.

Led by a professional costume/fashion designer, this unique sewing tour focuses on the Garment District neighborhood of Manhattan, and on the fabric, trim, and notion stores utilized by industry professionals. In addition to shopping, stops on Seek’s New York City sewing tours include Project Runway locations (Mood Fabrics, Atlas Apartments, Lord & Taylor), popular fashion landmarks (Bryant Park, Parsons, the Fashion Walk of Fame), and buildings where famous fashion design companies are headquartered. New York sewing tour groups will also explore history of the garment industry and retail in NYC and learn about recent efforts to revitalize the Garment Center.

New York sewing tours are offered as group tours (capped at eight people and open to the general public) and private tours for friends and family only.
