Set the Future for a Better Culinary Industry, the 9th Bali Salon Culinary 2016 Brings Impact to Local Society and Communities
3 days full of inspiration, fun, and challenges; The 9th Bali Salon Culinary 2016 is closed on Saturday, 5th March 2016 at 6PM. A glorious result has paid all hard works from all teams, participants, judges, committees, sponsors and partners.
All participants represent 17 schools, 32 hotels, 10 restaurants and individuals gave their best performance to conceptualize an idea of a dish, undertake the live cooking, plating and finally serve the best result to be tasted on the judging room. Not only about the looks but the taste has been decorated beautifully, make a delightful flavors on every bite. Judges representing the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) maintain the international standard judging valuation, bring forth winners that meets the international qualification.
One of the Judges of Salon Culinary 2016, Vindex Tengker admits, “This year’s event pictures the progress of culinary industry in Indonesia. The event neatly wrapped in more structured timings and rules, also more passionate participants who present better results on both looks and taste of their creations. New category classes are added showing wider skills and knowledge of each talent. As an international event, all rules and judging of Salon Culinary 2016 follow the instruction of World Association of Chef Societies (WACS) which means all winners have the qualification to continue participating similar event abroad. One of the most important note for next 2018’s event, is for a better promotion and event broadcasting to shows wider communities this event matters.”
All candidates who joined more than 2 (two) classes on the same category, have the opportunity to win the best individual. These are the individual winners The Best Culinary Artist, Ida Bagus Ngurah Eka Yadnya from Nusa Dua Beach Hotel; The Best Pastry Chef, Gusti Ayu Rusma Yasmita from St. Regis Bali Resort; The Best Junior Chef, Ni Kadek Ayu Tuesday Yeni from Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort; and The Best Chef Individual Western, Made Gede Aryanthika from Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort.
One of the most prestigious winning category, The Best Culinary Organization Team goes to Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts Bali while, Runner Up 1 goes to The Laguna Resort & Spa Bali, Runner Up 2 goes to Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa. The candidates who has the opportunity to win this classification must joined more categories challenges, including two most challenging categories: Culinary Artist Category and 4-Plated Western Main Courses.
The 9th Bali Salon Culinary 2016 has brought a big impact for the society and local communities. Chefs are more active into sharing their knowledge and experiences in culinary industry. Young chefs Association boast the spirit and passion to bring incredible result of their young talents. And Bali Culinary Professionals (BCP) serves and facilitates all programs and activities that improve Chef’s professional standard, encourage new skills, promote and expose the Indonesian Food and local creations.
