Seychelles Launches Its Poster For Their Coming Festival Kreol 2013

The 28th edition of the Seychelles “Festival Kreol“will be celebrated from the 25th to the 31st October 2013. This annual manifestation is aimed to consolidate the Kreol identity and to show case the achievements in the World of Creoles in valorizing, and in promoting the creole oral traditions and cultures.

One of the main of the main objectives of this edition is to attract mass participation in the various activities to consolidate the pride of being a Creole. The Seychelles Ministry of Tourism and Culture has programmed a weekend of popular and new outdoor activities during the first 3 days of the Festival, whilst the academic and indoor activities will be done on week days.

To mark the status of Victoria being the “Creole Capital of the World”, all the major activities for this coming edition of the Festival Kreol will be held in different venues in the center of Victoria itself.

Considering the significant and rich potential values such festival brings, the Republic of Seychelles is expecting the participation of delegations from other creole speaking communities and countries of the world e.g La Reunion, Mauritius, the island of Rodrigues and others.

The diversity of culture that makes the Seychellois Creole will be celebrated through the art of creole living style through music, dance, arts, cuisine and the “Joie de vive” of all Seychellois and of all proud Creoles of the World.
