The Seychelles Islands another world was again present this year at the IBTM Trade Fair in Barcelona to showcase to the world our diversified product offers for the MICE market segment and also let them know that we are ready and have the right infrastructure in place to grow our business in the meetings, events, conference, incentives and business travel industry. Through highly-targeted meetings, IBTM brought the delegation face-to-face with the right buyers in the right organisations, to build relations and develop business.
The Seychelles Tourism Board’s delegation to IBTM was headed by Bernadette Willemin, the Board’s Director for Europe based in Paris.
The Seychelles private sector was represented by Blaisila Hoffman of Creole Travel Services, Leonard Alvis of Mason’s Travel and Lidia Martinuzzi representing Eden Bleu Hotel. ‘Incentives and Conferencing in Seychelles is now a real possibility’ said Bernadette Willemin at the IBTM Trade Fair. In addition she added that all the ingredients are there for the Seychelles, one of the most pristine and un-commercialised destination remaining with excellent accommodation facilities – modern infrastructure, professional service and care with easy air access year round.
The Seychelles Islands have benefited from marked increase in air access capacity for the past years and more hotels in Seychelles are today offering conference facilities. The opportunity was timely for the 2 Destination Management Companies, Creole Travel Service and Mason’s Travel and Eden Bleu, to use the ‘IBTM Trade Fair’ platform to present their respective offers for meetings and events.
