Shangri-La Hotel,Changzhou successfully launched Colour Ride 2015, a bicycle riding event co-sponsored by Changzhou Bureau of Parks and cz001.com. More than 100 cycling enthusiasts were invited to attend the ceremony. The 15-kilometre ride’s destination was Changzhou Flower Expo Park.
At 2 p.m., participants rode from Shangri-La Hotel Changzhou wearing same-colour T-shirts and helmets. The riders laughed and moved forward to the destination, and no one could see a tired face in the team. After an hour-and-a-half, all riders gathered at the front gate of the Flower Expo Park. They threw rainbow-coloured powder towards the sky, at the cars and at each other to celebrate the success of the activity. The participants also conducted small games at the Flower Expo Park.
The Colour Ride concept derives from Colour Run, a globally famous activity combining colour with ride, and sports energy and colouration. With the idea of environmental protection, healthy and fashion, the hotel created a new cycling group. At present, the hotel is recruiting riders from the public. Young, vigorous, innovative, sports enthusiasts or nature-loving persons will have a chance to become a colour rider.
The event aims to find the most beautiful cycling routes in Changzhou and produce cycling maps for enthusiasts. Starting next month, organisers will continue to discover different routes through different themes. Citizens who love cycling can watch out for the information released by cz001.com to join the ride.
