Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi is Awarded for Consistently Outsanding World-Class Service
Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi has been inducted into the prestigious TripAdvisor Hall of Fame after winning the travel website’s Certificate of Excellence for five years in a row.
The Certificate of Excellence celebrates excellence in hospitality and is awarded to properties that consistently receive outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.
“We are thrilled to enter the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame. The accolade is testament to the tireless efforts of staff in all departments, from housekeeping and reception to concierge and food and beverage, and everyone in between. Hard work combined with exceptional talent has ensured that Shangri-La Abu Dhabi delivers outstanding service year on year and consistently exceeds guest expectations, placing the five-star property at the very pinnacle of the hospitality industry”, said Thomas Guss, the hotel’s general manager.
When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honorees, taking into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews and opinions submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period, as well as business tenure and ranking on the site’s popularity index. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
“Winning the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years is a remarkable feat. TripAdvisor is pleased to induct five-time award winners into the Hall of Fame”, said Marc Charron, TripAdvisor’s president for business. “By putting a spotlight on businesses that are focused on consistently delivering great service to customers, TripAdvisor not only helps drive an improvement to hospitality standards around the world, it also gives businesses both large and small the ability to shine and stand out from the competition.”
