Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao has launched its new Embrace project “Rebuild A New Future”. The hotel has adopted Qi Ji School as its project beneficiary and started engagement to assess its needs for this undertaking.

Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao has donated RMB99,868 for the school’s renovation, including classroom refurbishment and door and window replacement.

Situated in Lin Nan Village in Lin Yi County, Shandong Province, Qi Ji School has 205 students and 16 teachers. The school opened in 1986 and has received very limited funds to build a proper school building for its kindergarten and elementary classes. It currently faces financial challenges to sustain and repair the school’s building and also needs educational materials for its students. Not only are many of the school’s facilities in very poor condition, but also very unsafe.press470
