Chef Vivek Bhatt joins Shangri-La Hotel, Suzhou as Executive Chef, bringing his rich culinary and management experience to helm the kitchen team.
Prior to his new appointment, Chef Bhatt was the Executive Chef at JW Marriott, Mumbai, Sahar, India. He worked as chef de cuisine at several high-profile hotels, including Hyatt Regency La Managa, Spain. No stranger to Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Chef Bhatt was Executive Sous Chef at Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, Sultanate of Oman; Shangri-La Hotel, Shenzhen; and Shangri-La Hotel, New Delhi, India.
Chef Bhatt started his culinary career in 1994 at his hometown in New Delhi. Spanning over 22 years, his career has taken him around India and to China, Spain, Sultanate of Oman, the Philippines and Maldives.
In addition, his footprint in different countries not only improved his cooking skills, but, most importantly, helped him gain respect for and an understanding of different cultures, which have provided long-term benefits to his culinary vocation.
To broaden his culinary horizon, Chef Bhatt is eager to absorb the strengths and advantages of different cuisines and to present guests different flavours and tastes.
