Shangri-La Hotel, Suzhou presents “The Flavours of Italy” with an authentic cuisine and exotic atmosphere at Café Soo from 9 to 17 September 2015. Mr. Rolando Manesco, Italian executive chef from Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao, will prepare a range of delicious Italian dishes.
Chef Manesco is from Italy and has almost 30 years of international culinary experience gained from various corners of the world, around Europe and the Middle East to many cities of Asia, including highly acclaimed Michelin two- and three-starred restaurants in London, Capri and Rome. He has worked as an executive chef at various luxury hotels brands and led culinary teams to win many awards, such as the 2011 National Pastry Award, 2012 Best National Team Paris “Modial Des Sucres Des Arts” and 2012 Best National Team Spirits “Asian Pastry Cup”.
During the Italian food promotion period, Café Soo will be decorated with a three-dimensional Venetian backdrop and an exhibition of Venice masks. Chef Rolando will use a localised cooking method to cook ingredients imported from Italy. Traditional Italian dishes, such as Spaghetti Seafood, Pizza Margherita, Carpaccio, Crespelle, Gnocchi and Risotto, will be offered. The worldwide popular Italian gelato will also be available in various flavours. The Flavours of Italy promotion for lunch is priced at RMB158 per person during weekdays and RMB188 during weekends. The Flavours of Italy promotion for dinner is priced at RMB248 from Sunday to Thursday and RMB258 from Friday to Saturday. Prices are subject to a 15 per cent surcharge.
Guests can also enjoy an Italian-themed afternoon tea at Lobby Lounge with special desserts, such as Tiramisu, Pannacotta and Biscotti Savoiardi in a relaxing and cheerful atmosphere. The Italian afternoon tea is priced at RMB68 per person and subject to a 15 per cent surcharge.
