In July 2013, Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney will celebrate ten years of hospitality as one of the flagship properties of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.  The iconic building on Sydney Harbour became the first Shangri-La property in Australia when it took over the ANA Hotel in 2003 and since then, has served over 2.5 million guests.

To celebrate the occasion, the Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney team is taking a trip down memory lane with the launch of a nationwide Facebook competition.  This week, the hotel will reach out to its online community and 13,000 Facebook fans to tap into their photo archives and encourage submissions of their best memory at Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney with a creative caption.  From these submissions, the hotel will uncover some of the best memories that have been made at the iconic hotel and reward ten winners with a luxurious weekend away with all the trimmings and VIP treatment.

In preparation for the decade-long achievement, Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney has also developed a creative infographic to commemorate its achievements over the years.

“We are extremely proud to reach this milestone and continue to lead as one of the best destinations for luxurious accommodation in Sydney,” said Franz Donhauser, general manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney.  “I would like to extend my thanks to all our guests, staff and business partners for contributing to our journey and success.  We look forward to many more years.”
