Toronto, Canada, 03 July, 2014 – All lights are shining on Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto as it prepares to transform the hotel’s acclaimed pool for a high fashion event, titled “The Show,” on 8 July 2014.

In partnership with Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie, “The Show” will debut the 2015 VITAMIN A swimwear collection, created by acclaimed designer Amahlia Stevens.

Media and guests will be welcomed to the hotel’s fifth floor oasis at 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. for a fashion show and cocktail reception. Named one of the world’s most beautiful pools by Condé Nast Traveler in 2013, the pool’s dramatic design and luxurious aesthetic offers the perfect ambiance for the debut of Stevens’ latest collection, as models will appear to walk on water. Jewels by Birks, hair by Hair on the Avenue, and makeup by L’Oreal Paris, will complete each model’s look.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with VITAMIN A and the Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie, and our other partners Birks, Hair on the Avenue, and L’Oreal Paris, to create the hotel’s first ever pool fashion show,” said Richard Cooke, general manager, Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto. “It is an exciting day for Shangri-La to be showing our award winning pool and fifth floor facilities to media and guests as we kick off summer in style in Toronto.”

“We are delighted to be involved in the first unveiling of VITAMIN A’s Spring 2015 collection,” said Surinder Bains, owner of the Miraj Hammam Spa. “The same luxurious services that we offer our clients will be available to the models on the day of “The Show,” to help them get runway-ready and complete their VITAMIN A look.”

Since its inception in 2000, VITAMIN A has become synonymous with quality craftsmanship and a design style that is hip-slimming, bust-boosting, figure-flattering perfection. VITAMIN A designs have been worn by celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Alba, and Halle Berry. Designer Amahlia Stevens’ SoCal upbringing informs her laid-back modernist aesthetic and passion for sustainability. That effortless, natural sexiness and West Coast ease are in her DNA – the spirit of VITAMIN A.

“To partner with brands like Shangri-La and the Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie, is an amazing experience. The pool is beautifully designed and the lighting and ambience is the perfect backdrop to showcase our 2015 swimwear line,” said Amahlia Stevens of VITAMIN A. “The Shangri-La is known worldwide as one of the best luxury brands; we are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase our swimwear line to the Canadian media and patrons alike in such a fabulous environment.”
