On Saturday, 25 March 2017, Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa, Singapore will dim its lights in observance of Earth Hour from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The balcony lights in all the guestrooms and other non-essential lightings, including the main resort overhead signage, will be switched off during the hour. Guests are also encouraged to turn off their room lights and show their support by penning their wishes on a giant pledge board.

The resort’s recreation team will also organise some games and activities, such as glow-in-the-dark bowling, hop scotch, as well as swimming under the stars with glow sticks, for guests.

“Conserving energy is everyone’s responsibility and very much a part of our company-wide corporate social responsibility programme. By participating in this global initiative, we hope to raise awareness on the importance of environmental responsibility, as well as to strengthen the resort’s ongoing commitment to minimise our impact on the environment,” said Vice President and General Manager Ben Bousnina.
