Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort Honored With Gold Medal At Dilmah Real High Tea Challenge Indonesia 2015

IND23_DSC1835The luxurious Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, in the heart of the famed Kuta Beach, is thrilled to announce it is the Gold Medal winner of the Indonesia Dilmah Real High Tea 2015 competition held in Jakarta. This resort in Kuta ( competed with 22 other resorts and hotels at the national event for the opportunity to represent Indonesia in the Dilmah Real High Tea 2015 Global Challenge this summer in Sri Lanka.

“Dilmah’s prestigious award spotlights the exquisite teas and tea service that we proudly present to all guests of Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort,” said General Manager Dario Orsini.  “We are delighted about this honor and congratulate The Lounge’s Ferdy Iman Harefa, one of our attentive servers, and Fandy Wijaya, our talented chef de cuisine, who traveled to Jakarta to showcase their tea creations, and paired a few menu selections for an esteemed panel of judges at a high-profile, national competition.”


Dilmah, producer of the world’s finest teas known for their exceptional quality and authenticity, is the sponsor of the world competition and invited Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort and other Indonesian properties to participate.  Not all that serve Dilmah are asked to compete, so Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort was among an elite group that Dilmah deemed qualified for the Indonesia event.

To win the Dilmah Real High Tea Challenge Gold Medal, the judges awarded the Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort team between 90 to 99 overall points. Harefa and Wijaya prepared selections at the Jakarta event that they have created for Fashion A to Tea, Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort’s style-inspired afternoon tea service. Fashion A to Tea menu selections include:


∙            Italian Almond Tea by Dilmah Exceptional Italian Almond Tea, paired with Duo Almond and Pistachio Milk Parfait, birds nest, poached Asian pear, kichi, Chinese dates

∙            Violet Miles by Dilmah Tea – Series Pure Chamomile Loose Leaf served with Sumping Gyoza, steamed pumpkin cake, roasted grated coconut, jackfruit, and pandan-infused palm sugar syrup

∙            Daisy Sangria by Dilmah Uda Watte Loose Leaf paired with Foie Gras Panna Cotta, caramelized apple and red globe grapes, Turkish figs and apple chutney
