Event tickets were available for IDR 100,000 per person, and Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort donated all event proceeds to help children in need through the UNICEF Check Out for Children Challenge program.
Freeletics is a sports activity that supports a flexible exercise routine, enabling one to workout anywhere and anytime using an iPhone or Android app. A personal coach provides new workouts weekly, and the app allows workout times to be recorded. Users can follow athletes and compare times, and become part of Freeletic’s huge community of athletes.
The UNICEF Check Out for Children Challenge is a staff fundraising competition among Starwood Hotels & Resorts. It began in 2003 and continues to gather strong support throughout Starwood Hotels and Resorts in the Asia Pacific region. For the past 20 years, Starwood Hotels and Resorts has partnered with UNICEF to raise funds for a number of worthy causes that benefit impoverished children around the world.
Dario Orsini, general manager for Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort stated that Starwood has been in partnership with UNICEF globally since 1995 and they firmly believe that every child in the world should have the opporutnity to go to school, so we focus our efforts on education. A child’s development can be stunted by poor health, malnutrition, and a lack of opportunity and education and, at the Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, the team is committed to helping break that cycle of poverty. This year the resort chose a Freeletics session as a transformational activity for sport lovers’ to achieve their goals, gain a better understanding about a healthy lifestyle, and feel good about supporting UNICEF.
