Marriott International yesterday announced the new Club Marriott, a leading dining loyalty program that has been officially launched in Greater China, that integrates two powerful dining loyalty programs—Club Marriott and Eat Drink & More—into a single paid membership program. Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel, Cotai Central and The St. Regis Macao, Cotai Central are honored to be part of this great initiative. The newly combined Club Marriott provides members with more choices and benefits whenever they dine out in their hometowns or visit one of the 250 participating hotels across 16 brands in 13 countries across the region, with more hotels joining every month.

Mr. Josef Dolp, Area Vice President of Taiwan, Macau, & South East China, Marriott International and Ms. Janet McNab, Managing Director of Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel and The St. Regis Macao along with the hotel teams give a toast to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel and the launch of the Club Marriott dining loyalty program

“With the new portfolio of brands under Marriott International, loyalty is the key driving force that will allow us to cut through the competition,” said Peggy Fang Roe, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Asia Pacific, Marriott International. “Club Marriott gives us the platform to drive loyalty that extends even beyond a stay, via rewarding and recognising the ‘local member’ through exclusive benefits and memorable experiences across a vast variety of brands.”

Greater China is the second region to launch the newly combined Club Marriott membership program. Locals can join as a member in 30 cities from Harbin to Beijing and Shanghai to Hong Kong. The program offers experiences that go beyond food and beverage. Members will be able to enjoy complimentary dining certificates for group dining or use their personal dinning credits in a number of exceptional restaurants. Members will receive welcome amenities, room discounts, upgrades and spa vouchers at participating hotels and even enjoy birthday offers as well as access to exclusive events. Their children will be treated to events and many surprises. Membership is also recognised outside Greater China with up to 20% off F&B and best available room rates in over 250 participating hotels across Asia Pacific.

Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel and The St. Regis Macao have also launched their localized privileges and benefits to meet and satisfy the needs of local guests. Members can enjoy a flat 30% discount off food and beverage at 8 participating venues – Feast, Xin, Bene, Palms and Sala at Sheraton Grand Macao and The Manor, The St. Regis Bar and The St. Regis Pool at The St. Regis Macao – as well as 20% off the best available rate for stays at both hotels. In addition, they will also get 30% off ala carte treatments at Sheraton’s Shine Spa and The Iridium Spa at St. Regis. Other benefits include complimentary dining vouchers, birthday surprises, room upgrades, swimming pool and fitness passes, freebies for kids and lots more.

“Today brings together two very special occasions – the 5th Anniversary of Marriott International’s largest property globally, and the launch of Club Marriot in Greater China,” said Janet McNab, Managing Director of Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel and The St. Regis Macao. “We enjoyed great success with the Eat, Drink & More program, and I can assure all our loyal members that the new Club Marriott program promises even richer benefits across not just our F&B venues but also our spas and recreation facilities.”

“With over 200,000 members today and growing, the new Club Marriott has evolved as the preferred Hotel Dining Loyalty Program,” adds Bart Buiring, Chief Operations Services Officer, Asia Pacific, Marriott International. “By offering locally relevant benefits to members, we aim to continue having a sharp focus on positioning our hotels as ‘the favorite destinations where locals go to meet, eat and drink.’”

Following the first launch event at Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel, Cotai Central, Macao in Greater China, the new Club Marriott Program will be rolled out in other cities in China as well as in Asia countries, including Singapore, Indonesia, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Guam in October. The Philippines and Vietnam will be launching the program in November, and Thailand by December this year.
