Sheraton on the Park wins at TAA (NSW) Awards for Excellence 2014

Sheraton on the Park has again been recognised for its consistently outstanding achievements, by winning at the 2014 TAA (NSW) Awards for Excellence, announced on Wednesday 16 July.


Renowned for its popular international seafood buffet and five star service, Sheraton on the Park’s signature restaurant Feast – a world of flavours, was awarded ‘Brasserie / Café of the Year’. Launched in October 2012 following extensive renovations, Feast replaced the hotel’s ‘Botanica Brasserie’, which had previously been awarded ‘Best Bistro/Casual/Family Dining Restaurant’ in 2010 and 2008 and ‘Brasserie / Café of the Year’ in 2012. With winning the award in three consecutive years, the restaurant qualifies to be inducted into the “Hall of Fame” next year.

This prestigious award further acknowledges Feast’s reputation as the best seafood buffet in Sydney.  With its central location and sweeping views of Hyde Park, Feast is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with colleagues or loved ones.

Sheraton on the Park also holds the “Hall of Fame” status for Workplace Health & Safety Hotel (2013) as well as Function Venue (2011).

Additionally, Christian Schomann, Front Office Manager at Sheraton on the Park, has won ‘Front of House Employee of the Year”, an award acknowledging outstanding achievements within the field of expertise. Christian has not only implemented a range of enhancements and procedures with a focus on sustainability, but also stood out for his impressive service attitude whilst providing live saving techniques for two guests in the past year.

The Tourism Accommodation Australia (NSW) Awards for Excellence are recognised as the most prestigious awards in the hospitality industry, honouring the achievement of excellence in service. According to Mr. Sean Hunt Managing Director, Sheraton on the Park and Regional Vice President Starwood Pacific Hotels, the award recognises the hotel’s commitment to offering an unparalleled dining experience with a gourmet buffet second to none in Sydney.
