There are many ways to promote travel destinations from advertisements to direct sales trips to targeted markets, but when it comes to promoting a vast nation, with its endless beauty and hidden paradises, perhaps the best way is to bring the audience here to see for themselves. This exactly is what the committee of Bali & Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) 2015 has envisioned for their upcoming event. It will be Indonesia’s very own travel and tourism fair that brings sellers and buyers together in a single forum.
“Each year we would typically go abroad to promote our destinations, however, it’s an entirely different experience when you can actually get the buyers to come and see the destination with their own eyes,” explains Ketut Ardana SH, Chairman of Bali & Beyond Travel Fair 2015. “BBTF represents a new benchmark for international travel and tourism events in Indonesia. We aim to bring together members of the tourism sector and facilitate networking between Indonesian enterprises and international wholesalers.”
BBTF aims to advance the tourism industry through business sessions and direct promotion of best practices in MICE and Leisure management. Together with exhibitors and buyers from numerous countries around the world, BBTF facilitates Pre-Scheduled Appointments (PSA) and business sessions for buyers and sellers to negotiate on their long-term leisure and corporate travel needs. Corporations, travel agents, hotel & resort chains, cruise operators, convention planners, venue operators and travel buyers can leverage the two and half days of business to business sessions to enhance their respective brands in the Indonesian and Asia Pacific markets.
In addition to the B2B and B2C sessions, the travel fair will have an extensive program of activities for all delegates. It will be the most comprehensive B2B Travel and Tourism Event in Southeast Asia.Bali itself was chosen as the venue because it is the gateway to Indonesia for global travellers and the island contributes up to 40% of all visitors to the nation each year.
BBTF is supported by The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of The Republic of Indonesia. On the 26th February 2015, Indonesia’s Minister of Tourism, Mr. Arief Yahya, inaugurated the Bali & Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) 2015 in the Balairung Susilo Soedarman,Sapta Pesona Building of Jakarta.
According to the minister, Bali is the perfect place for this annual travel and tourism expo as the island contributes up to 40% of all foreign tourists travelling to the country. Through the Bali and Beyond Travel Fair 2015, the minister hopes that other destinations in Indonesia will be able to promote themselves further to buyers from around the world attending the event.
