Fiji’s award winning Sigatoka River Safari is proud to announce that today it was welcomed into TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame.
This unique accolade is only granted to businesses that have won the Certificate of Excellence for five years in a row.
The Certificate of Excellence award recognizes businesses worldwide that consistently earn a top rating of four or higher, out of a possible five from TripAdvisor travelers. Only the top-performing 10 per cent of businesses listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.
Sigatoka River Safari won their first Certificate of Excellence in 2011 and according to founder, Jay Whyte, “being welcomed into TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame.is an outstanding achievement by our team and the people of Navosa who continuously strive to offer our guests a simply unforgettable experience.”
“This accolade isn’t given out regularly and is a real testament to the dedication and hard work of our team, not just over the past five years but since the tour began in 2006.
I am extremely proud of this amazing tour and the heart felt impression it leaves on all passengers, my wonderful team and the incredible Fijians that have welcomed us into their villages and homes. ” Continues Jay.
Sigatoka River Safari is the first jet-boat safari tour if its kind. It offers tourists of all ages a half-day adventure into the heart and soul of Fiji. Passengers travel along the Sigatoka River aboard custom-built safari jet boats and visit authentic Fijian villages, experiencing a day in the life of the real ‘kaiviti’ (Fijian).
Passengers take part in a kava ceremony, tour the authentic village and are treated to a traditional Fijian lunch. The village visit ends with traditional Fijian singing and dancing.
Sigatoka River Safari works with 15 different villages and visits a different village every day, to minimise the impact of tourism on the village lifestyle, a key element in their success to date.
Sigatoka River Safari’s sister tour, the popular Off Road Cave Safari, also received their second consecutive TripAdvisorCertificate of Excellence Award.
The Off Road Caves Safari first began in 2012 and is Fiji’s original and only off road safari taking passengers in custom made land rovers through Sigatoka’s interior to the Naihehe Cave, Fiji’s largest Cave system, where they learn about its fascinating cannibalism history.
