Signature Restaurant at Emporium Hotel South Bank in Brisbane has been awarded Best Wine List Of The Year in the prestigious The Courier Mail Food and Wine Awards 2019 staged in Brisbane Monday 22 July, 2019.

General Manager Charles Martin said that, ‘The win is exciting for the hotel and the Signature Restaurant team as they had worked hard since opening earlier this year to ensure that the wine offering was of an international standard.’

The custom-built display cellar, The Library, superbly frames the restaurant, showcasing feature wines from the Hotel’s main cellar and boasting over 6000 bottles of the finest international and local wines. It also houses Australia’s largest burgundy collection alongside a magnificent collection of 200 magnums that line the cellar walls on floating wine racks, offering a truly unique dining experience for guests and wine connoisseurs alike.

Head sommelier, Antoine Heurtier, and his team have seen a surge in demand for unique wines from Australia and across the world from a clientele seeking interesting and accessible wines to complement their food. Australian boutique wine offerings include La Peitie Mort sitting along side Penfolds Grange, La-Tache and Chateau Petrus to name but a few. This impressive cellar list will keep even the most experienced wine afficiando happy.

Open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, Signature Restaurant at Emporium Hotel South Bank is the pinnacle of Emporium Hotel’s dinning offering headed by Chef duo Chris and Alex Norman. Signature Restaurant offers modern Australian cuisine which changes regularly with locally sourced offerings including Abrolhos Island Scallops, Eugowra Quail, Murray River Cod and Flinders Island Lamb.
