Silkroad Takes Australian Companies To The Next Level With Transformative Talent Management Software

SilkRoad has unveiled a cutting-edge suite of cloud-based talent management software solutions that is quickly catching the eye of companies in Australia grappling with growth.

Footsteps in AsiaThe company recently published case studies highlighting the transformation experienced by several leading organisations in Australia, including Save the Children, Carlson Rezidor and Georgiou.

SilkRoad’s innovative software approach to solving HR issues has transformed these companies by equipping their HR professionals with the tools to best showcase a robust talent management strategy and beat the opposition through an integrated, automated approach.

The company, which offers OpenHire, RedCarpet, GreenLight, WingSpan and HeartBeat solutions, centralises applications and unifies data to help clients attract, motivate and retain staff while maximising employee productivity in a marketplace where talent management has become increasingly competitive.

Cade Elg, SilkRoad’s Director of Sales for Australia and New Zealand, said, “A robust talent management strategy is absolutely critical to business success and can significantly increase the productivity and profitability of any organisation. At SilkRoad, we understand this should be at the top of every C-suite agenda, which is why we’ve developed industry-leading software that streamlines the entire talent management process from recruitment to onboarding, learning and development and performance management.”

Driving business transformation through HR software solutions

Save the Children Australia, a major charity founded almost 100 years ago that hires about 200 new employees every year, used SilkRoad’s ground-breaking technology to streamline its recruiting and onboarding processes to redirect resources to where they are needed most. It did that through OpenHire, RedCarpet, GreenLight and WingSpan.

The charity has employees working in remote offices and needed a solution that works as an online platform and fully integrates with its existing intranet system while being easy to use.

OpenHire enabled Save the Children to handle thousands of annual job applications by streamlining its old manual, paper-based process, with RedCarpet allowing managers to “own” employee transition processes by giving them access to employee information without having to go through the HR department.

GreenLight drove Save the Children’s strategic talent initiatives by developing talent in an engaging format while saving time, reducing costs and reinforcing compliance. WingSpan met the charity’s unique people management needs, allowing it to dramatically increase its formal reviews.

“There are fewer manual processes, less administration,” the charity’s HR Director Tracey McMillan said. “People can do the job they’re paid to do.”

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s largest and most dynamic hotel management companies, is constantly seeking talent to meet expansion needs. As such, Carlson Rezidor required a single web portal where job applicants could view job openings in Asia Pacific – and OpenHire became its chosen applicant tracking system.

OpenHire’s numerous features enabled the company to unify hiring in the region and shift it to a new, efficient recruitment mode by bringing recruiting under the one roof and centralising management applications through a system-wide database that makes information instantly available to recruiters and hire managers.

“We needed to streamline all our recruitment processes across the region and OpenHire helped us achieve this,” said Nina Gothberg, the group’s Senior Manager HR Asia Pacific.

Australia-based national construction, engineering and property development company Georgiou is progressive and fast growing but its onboarding system was not aligned with the needs of its expanding business.

SilkRoad’s RedCarpet system changed that by completely automating Georgiou’s onboarding process, with time spent in general orientation decreasing and employees becoming productive sooner as they focus on job-critical information. The easy-to-use portal provides a superb experience, eliminates paper forms and promotes greater transparency across an organisation.

“SilkRoad’s RedCarpet solution truly distinguishes Georgiou as an employer,” said Mib Scoggins, Georgiou Organisational Development and Training Manager.

Georgiou also uses SilkRoad’s HeartBeat software to manage its workforce data through an automated centralised system that delivers unified software solutions and streamlines the management of employee data. This promotes strategic planning and employee development, giving Georgiou a sharp picture of its workforce across all locations and business units and enabling it to develop a people-focused culture.
