Driving business transformation through HR software solutions

Save the Children Australia, a major charity founded almost 100 years ago that hires about 200 new employees every year, used SilkRoad’s ground-breaking technology to streamline its recruiting and onboarding processes to redirect resources to where they are needed most. It did that through OpenHire, RedCarpet, GreenLight and WingSpan.

The charity has employees working in remote offices and needed a solution that works as an online platform and fully integrates with its existing intranet system while being easy to use.

OpenHire enabled Save the Children to handle thousands of annual job applications by streamlining its old manual, paper-based process, with RedCarpet allowing managers to “own” employee transition processes by giving them access to employee information without having to go through the HR department.

GreenLight drove Save the Children’s strategic talent initiatives by developing talent in an engaging format while saving time, reducing costs and reinforcing compliance. WingSpan met the charity’s unique people management needs, allowing it to dramatically increase its formal reviews.

“There are fewer manual processes, less administration,” the charity’s HR Director Tracey McMillan said. “People can do the job they’re paid to do.”

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s largest and most dynamic hotel management companies, is constantly seeking talent to meet expansion needs. As such, Carlson Rezidor required a single web portal where job applicants could view job openings in Asia Pacific – and OpenHire became its chosen applicant tracking system.

OpenHire’s numerous features enabled the company to unify hiring in the region and shift it to a new, efficient recruitment mode by bringing recruiting under the one roof and centralising management applications through a system-wide database that makes information instantly available to recruiters and hire managers.

Australia-based national construction, engineering and property development company Georgiou is progressive and fast growing but its onboarding system was not aligned with the needs of its expanding business.

SilkRoad’s RedCarpet system changed that by completely automating Georgiou’s onboarding process, with time spent in general orientation decreasing and employees becoming productive sooner as they focus on job-critical information. The easy-to-use portal provides a superb experience, eliminates paper forms and promotes greater transparency across an organisation.
