The Singapore Tourism Board is pleased to welcome Kristina Kulchar as its new Manager Oceania. Based in the Sydney regional office, Kristina will be managing the MICE markets across Australia and New Zealand.
Kristina joins the Oceania team with over 20 years’ travel and tourism industry experience. Kristina’s previous roles saw her working across sales and consulting alongside a number of suppliers including airlines and hotels, such as The Leading Hotels of the World. Most recently in the corporate space, Kristina represented two of the country’s leading corporate boutique agencies – MP Travel and Spencer Travel.
Part of Kristina’s new role will include implementing and developing business strategies for the MICE market, as well as raising awareness and driving consideration of Singapore as a destination for business and MICE travellers.
Kristina said: “I’ve always had a strong passion for travel and Singapore is a destination that has continued to excite me. I’m constantly looking for new challenging opportunities to not only find solutions for clients but to enrich others’ travel experiences, and I’m eager to put Singapore at the forefront of business people’s minds.”
Kristina will be working closely alongside Sharon Lam, Area Director Oceania, to continue developing new strategic approaches to position Singapore as a destination that is constantly evolving and expanding its offerings, while still retaining its unique cultural charm.
Sharon commented: “On behalf of the Singapore Tourism Board, we are delighted to welcome Kristina to our Sydney team. Her wealth of experience in the industry, matched with her personal interests and solutions-focused approach, will allow us to continue to grow our tourism footprint and help raise Singapore’s profile as the hub of Asia.
“As we continue to celebrate Singapore’s Golden Jubilee, it’s great to have such a solid team of dedicated individuals who are constantly looking for ways to showcase the best of our strangely wonderful city.”
