After its official opening in the fourth quarter last year, Centra by Centara Phu Pano Resort Krabi has been well recognised by local and overseas travellers including the resort’s latest celebrity guest from Singapore, Joshua Tan, the lead actor from the 2012 Singaporean comedy film “Ah Boys To Men”. Joshua Tan visited Krabi, a beautiful beachside province in the South of Thailand and spent a three-night holiday during the New Year season with his family members, including his sister, his mother and his father in the Centra Family Residence Room. The ASEAN celebrity and his family were warmly welcomed by Mr. Chalermrat Khumsawad, General Manager of Centra by Centara Phu Pano Resort Krabi.

Joshua Tan stated that, he had always been wanting to visit Krabi for his holiday in Thailand with his family. He heard that Ao Nang Beach of Krabi was one of the world’s most beautiful beaches and that he had to visit it once in his lifetime. Joshua also heard of the newly-opened Centra by Centara Phu Pano Resort Krabi, which is a resort with ideal location, only minutes away from Ao Nang Beach. The resort was pleasant for his family, peaceful and comfortable, with all the amenities and facilities, including a large swimming pool, an all-day dining restaurant, a fitness centre and high speed WIFI that enabled him to stay connected with his friends and followers on his Instagram and Facebook fan page accounts.

Joshua Tan is a famous actor in Singapore. He was born in Melbourne, Australia and moved to Singapore at a young age. Joshua was heavily involved in his school’s soccer squad, as well as the track and field team. As a lover of all kinds of sport, he later also took up lessons in Thailand’s traditional martial art – Muay Thai.

Joshua started out as an actor in numerous university student-produced films and stage plays; he slowly gained experience polishing his craft, and moved on to professional production. He was handed a supporting role in the sci-fi short film by Geoffery Malone in “Schism” as Agent Orange. He then moved on to TV commercials, nabbing the lead role in a KFC advert, followed by another famous iPhone App commercial film. Joshua finally received his big break with his most recognisable lead role (Ken Chow) in Jack Neo’s film “Ah Boys to Men”, quickly followed by a supporting role in the much anticipated HBO series, “Serangoon Road”. This young actor has also won CLEO’s Most Eligible Bachelors in 2013.

Centra by Centara Phu Pano Resort Krabi is Centara Hotels & Resorts’ third resort in the province and opened in mid-October 2016. Centara opened its first Krabi resort, Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi, in 2006. A second resort, Centara Anda Dhevi Resort & Spa Krabi, followed in 2012.

Located near Ao Nang beach, one of Krabi’s most convenient transport junctions, the new Centra by Centara Phu Pano Resort Krabi was designed as a cluster of low-rise buildings, the resort has 158 light and airy guestrooms in total, ranging from 24 to 49 square metres, with views of either the swimming pool or the surrounding prosperous Mountain View.
