A successful trans-Atlantic partnership for 25 years: Munich Airport and Denver International Airport reached a big milestone today. The occasion was marked with an exchange of headwear, with the hosts sporting a cowboy look, and the visitors donning traditional Bavarian “goat’s-beard” hats. Jennifer D. Gavito, the US General Consul in Munich, was joined on stage by Dr. Michael Kerkloh, the CEO of Munich Airport, Kim Day, the CEO of Denver International Airport, Wellington Webb, the former mayor of Denver, and Dr. Markus Söder, the Bavarian State Minister for Finance, Regional Development and Home Affairs (l. to r.). Munich Airport presented a spectacular birthday cake for the big anniversary celebration, featuring a delicious blend of features from both airports.
