Six security guards carry ‘drunk’ off Qantas flight

To the cheers of passengers, an apparently drunken Australian man has been carried off a Qantas flight after allegedly arguing with a member of crew.

The incident delayed take-off. It was three hours before passengers could return to their seats after six security guards handcuffed the man and carried him back into the terminal.

The witness told 9NEWS that passengers on QF24 from Sydney to Bangkok were forced to disembark before the man was removed, adding that the man appeared to be intoxicated.

“Qantas Flight 24 operating from Bangkok to Sydney was delayed by approximately three hours after an intoxicated and disruptive passenger repeatedly failed to follow crew directions shortly after boarding,” a Qantas spokesperson said.

9NEWS has a brief video of the incident (complete with cheers) which can be viewed on this link: http://www.9news.com.au/national/2017/07/12/13/25/six-security-guards-needed-to-carry-man-off-qantas-flight
