Skal International Reports 2016 Philanthropic Endeavors For Four International, National and Local Causes
As the second largest Skal Club in the U.S. and among the Top 10 in the world, Skal International Orlando continues to distinguish itself in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry through its philanthropic efforts. So far this year, the club has made charitable donations totaling more than $3,000 to global, national and local causes including the Joe Neary Skal International Foundation which benefits orphanages and schools in Sri Lanka as well as the Florimond Volckert Skal International Benevolence Fund.
Locally, Skal Orlando is committed to supporting Florida Hospital Cancer Research and The UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management Scholarship Fund. “It’s all about who we are, what we do and what we represent,” said Skal Orlando President Duane Winjum. “We come together in our industry and as leaders to support the most important causes and inspire others to join us. This has been one of our biggest years for new members who joined us after liking what they see at our monthly meetings.”
It’s no secret in the local travel, tourism and hospitality industry that Skal Orlando members meet at the best venues for networking and doing business, keeping members connected on the newest, the hottest, the best and what’s next to come for hotels, attractions, restaurants, sports and entertainment venues, and more.
Skal International is the only international organization bringing together sectors of the travel and tourism industry while networking, conducting business and helping communities locally, nationally and internationally.
