From New York-inspired rooftops to a gentleman’s high tea with wagyu brisket and Vegemite, Primus Hotel Sydney has been cutting its teeth on unusual, immersive and exceptional experiences for guests and visitors alike.

http://www.tourismlegal.com.au/From now until 15 July, Primus Hotel Sydney adds to its series of experiences with a special photography exhibition in partnership with Shanghai United Foundation, aiming to help raise $100,000 for theDiscover the World Through One Eye project.

Discover The World Through One Eye is an initiative to inspire children from nine schools in China’s rural communities where extreme poverty and lack of education is prevalent. Designed to inspire and motivate, the Project is the result of 30 days of photography lessons where the students learn how to record daily life through a camera and are encouraged to see the beauty that surrounds them. The project helps build self-confidence and helps them dream of a better future.

The exhibition at Primus Hotel Sydney is a curated collection of photographs taken last year by students from the Shanghai Violet School for Migrant Workers. The students produced 7,600 photos that were exhibited in Shanghai Public Service Park, attracting 3,000 visitors and over 20,000 views on WeChat.

Now, for two weeks, the collection will come to life in the heart of Primus, with all flowers in the lobby being replaced by the photographs taken by the young students. The funds saved from the bouquets will be redirected to support Discover The World Through One Eye, while in-house guests and diners are also encouraged to participate by donating a minimum of $1 per person as they check-out and settle their bills.

The one-off exhibition forms part of Primus’ parent company, Greenland International Hotels Group’s (GIHG) CSR program, where all 16 GIHG properties will unite to support Shanghai United Foundation throughout July. GIHG’s CSR programs purposefully help and care for vulnerable groups, improve rural education and develop eco-friendly and energy saving programs in its daily operations.
