A Dakar MINI storming through the dunes, a specially adjusted snowboard, one rope and two talented athletes – that’s how the ”Przygoński x Pawlusiak Dune Freestyle” project can be summed up in a few words.

Kuba Przygoński, one of the top Polish rally racers and member of the ORLEN Team, joined forces with snowboarder Wojtek “Gniazdo” Pawlusiak for a freestyle collaboration in a picturesque desert in the United Arab Emirates.

The news cut & image showcases Gniazdo’s breathtaking jump over the car, parallel descent from one the highest dunes of the Arabian Peninsula.

“We’ve combined a snowboard with a Dakar car to presented the potential of two completely different sports. I was most impressed while driving down Moreeb Dune – climbing up and crossing the top of the dune gave me the shivers. We were going downhill at the speed of about 70-80 km/h, and with that slope angle even breaking was hard” – Kuba Przygoński, member of the ORLEN Team.

“Riding on sand is way more difficult than snowboarding, but it was an amazing adventure. We were working on my snowboard for a few weeks to prepare it for the extreme sliding on sand. For me, the best moment was my jump over the MINI car, which was perfectly captured in the video” –Wojtek Pawlusiak.
