screen-shot-2016-09-14-at-1-11-51-pmSofitel Bali Nusa Dua recently hosted the Australian Bachelor, Richie Strahan and the final three girls, Olena, Nikki and Alex, plus Osher Gunsberg and all the crew, for the filming of the last two episodes of The Bachelor Australia 2016. With the two episodes now having screened on Australian televisions on Channel 10, the resort is offering special packages so that fans can follow in the footsteps of the love-struck stars.

Ensconced in private pool villas, the last two episodes played out while based in the serene and lush gardens of the luxury resort, in the green haven of Nusa Dua, Bali, a firm favourite with Australian travelers.

“The logistics of hosting such a large group, with very specific needs relating to filming, timings, security etc, and then keeping them all comfortable and private from inquisitive eyes, was a huge task,” admitted General Manager of the Resort Mr Sylvain Pasdeloup.

“But the week the Sofitel opened we hosted the global APEC meeting and housed John Kerry, Tony Abbot, Vladimir Putin and more, so we knew we could ensure that Richie and the girls enjoyed their stay in safety too, ” he added.

“Filming took place for the Episode 15 Rose Ceremony in the Presidential Villa, right on the beachfront, where the pool, garden, and outside deck area were festooned with candles hanging in trees, flower arrangements floating in the pool and the most romantic setting we have ever seen set up at the resort,” Sylvain continued.

“Our staff loved looking after all the crew, with their quirky requests, quickly changing schedules, paparazzi dodging, secrecy and privacy required to ensure there were no spoilers before screening.”

The Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua boasts a stunning wedding chapel, The Jewel Box, right on the white sands of the beach, encased in glass walls, and backed by green lawns; the perfect place to tie the knot, renew vows or maybe propose if you are a budding bachelor. The private pool villas, and extraordinary honeymoon suites, are extremely popular with newly-weds from Australia.

Just a short flight from Australia, Bali has always held a special place in the hearts of Australians, and many thousands of Aussies have held dazzling, or simple beach weddings on the Island of the Gods.
