Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit is celebrating a distinct French ritual with its next ‘Chic’ promotion for 2016.
‘Chic Aperitif’ is the second of three ‘Chic’-themed promotions the flagship property for Sofitel Luxury Hotels in Southeast Asia is offering this year, and while the meat of the deal is a room discount of 25 percent, the sweetest ingredient is an aperitif or champagne cocktail for two, with a snack of choice, at the lobby bar.
Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit marries French sophistication with Thai touches
“Every good French meal begins with an aperitif,” said William Haandrikman, Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit’s general manager. “This is another fun and creative way of bringing a taste of France to our guests.”
Offered between June 1 and Aug. 31, ‘Chic Aperitif’ starts at THB 5,250 (USD 150) net per night and includes a late check-out of 3 p.m.
A three-night minimum is required. Guests staying 5-7 nights receive an additional 5 percent off the rate. The booking period runs from May 16 to Aug. 26.
Opened in April 2012, Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit has made a name for itself in the luxury hotel market by marrying French sophistication with Thai touches.
Inspired by the art deco period, the 345-room, limestone-steel-and-glass structure extends 32 storeys above Sukhumvit Road and is capped by L’Appart, a Parisian-styled eatery and lounge designed to look and feel like a lavish penthouse apartment.
A rice motif — in honour of the grain that has shaped Thailand’s landscape and culture — runs throughout the urban escape, which has won ‘Best Luxury Hotel’ in Asia at the World Luxury Hotel Awards each of the past three years.
