Sofitel Bastille Day celebrations set to truly impress all Francophiles

Calling all Francophiles looking for somewhere French-inspired to sip a glass of Champagne this Bastille Day,  Sofitel hotels on the east coast are hosting special events on Friday 14 July,  2017.

Sofitel Melbourne on Collins

Showcasing the ‘crème de la crème’ of French pastry, Sofitel Melbourne on Collins will be serving the most Instagram-worthy éclairs with flair in celebration of Bastille Day.  Executive Pastry Chef, David Hann, will be dishing out beautiful eclairs with flavours such as lemon meringue pie, chocolate and raspberry, pistachio, mango and passionfruit, violet and vanilla, and Nutella.

Celebrate France’s National day at the Paris end of Collins Street in Sofi’s Lounge on level 1 with platters consisting of six éclairs and your choice of espresso coffee, hot chocolate or loose leaf tea, priced at $24.

 Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort

French cuisine comes to Hastings Street this Bastille Day at Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort’s Noosa Beach House Peter Kuruvita with a five course degustation dinner. Featuring a fusion of traditional French gastronomy and local flavours, guests will enjoy classic nouvelle cuisine such as Crab Bisque, Rabbit Terrine and Confit of Duck.

Tickets are $95 per person for a five course degustation dinner and French wine packages are available on the night, starting at 6:30pm.

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth will celebrate the French National Day with a selection of French-inspired culinary delicacies.  Delight in spécialité gastronomique française including trés indulgent baked French camembert (with truffle upgrade option!) with toasted baguette, complimented by a gorgeous verre de vin rouge or exquisite Veuve Kir Royale or French Martini at Soiree Bar. 

An indulgent cheese station will be available for guests from 5pm until 6pm in the lobby of the hotel together with French themed macarons.

Continue the celebrations over a divine 3-course dinner in the elegant Garden Court Restaurant, located on level 5 of the hotel, enjoy the exclusivity of the gorgeous French-inspired bistro overlooking the lush internal European garden courtyard illuminated with fairy lights.

Executive Chef, Boris Cuzon, originally from Brittany France, is crafting a culinary journey of traditional French dishes such as Moules Marinières, Coq au vin or Crème brûlée à l’orange. Be transported to Paris, Lyon or Nice for the evening!
