Sofitel Saigon Plaza Welcomes Michelin Star French Chef Hervé Rodriguez

As part of our quarterly Michelin Star Chef showcase, Sofitel Saigon Plaza warmly welcomes Michelin Star Chef Hervé Rodriguez from 5 to 10 May 2014.

imgHervé Rodriguez started his cooking career in Paris in 2011. He was trained in Lameloies from Chef of “La mere Bourgeois” and Chef of “Domaine de la Corniche” in Rollebois. He has a restaurant named Masa which received the distinguished Michelin star.

Hervé opened his first restaurant on the ground floor of a 17-storey hotel in the center of Paris. It was named Masa, which means “manipulator of the senses.” After a few months, Herve’ and his wife Sophie did not find a really a suitable place for them and they decided to leave and open this restaurant in the neighborhood of Paris: Boullogne Billancourt. It was a restaurant owned from a previous Michelin Star Chef.

Hervé continues to focus on using the freshest ingredients to serve good quality product. He knows how to catch the attention of the guests by his artistic plating and food styling which totally awakens every different sensation.

Cooking class with limited attendance, starting at 10:30 am Wednesday, 7th May, priced at VND 850,000++ per person including lunch.

L’Oliver Restaurant, a Mediterranean style cuisine, has been hosting more than 12 Michelin Star Chefs including Chef Jean-Baptiste Natali from Hostellerie de la Montagne, one-Michelin-star restaurant in Colombey les deux Eglises (Champagne);chef Ulrich Heimann from Le Ciel, one-Michelin-star restaurant in Berchtesgaden (Germany three-Michelin-star restaurant in Collonges (Lyon) last November. L’Oliver serves business set lunch and dinner daily between 11:30 am – 2:00 pm for lunch and 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm for dinner.
