The Landings – 15 September – 7 October 2017 Theatre

West Somerset College Farm, Ellicombe, Minehead, TA24 6TR.

A performance journey that will take you through sunken lanes, across isolated railway lines and little farm tracks. Marking the significance of the death of Alan Kurdi, the three-year-old boy who died trying to reach Europe in September it is set to be an emotive performance. There is a cast of 20, aged between 5 and 70, making it a unique and thought provoking experience.

Feast Food and Drink Festival – 29 September – 1 October 2017   Food

A festival celebrating some of the best food and drink in the Westcountry. The festival will run workshops, cookery demonstrations and activities on the lawn to keep children busy. Renowned chef Michael Caines MBE will launch the event with a dinner at The Castle Hotel where over the course of the weekend many more talented chefs will share their tips and recipes in the demonstration kitchen.

Exmoor Dark Skies Festival – 19 – 29 October 2017  Astronomy

The Exmoor Dark Skies Festival is a chance to appreciate the clear night skies that Exmoor is known for. There will be a range of activities available during the festival including an astro party, red deer bolving safari, a star gazing evening and a mobile planetarium. Exmoor was the first location in Europe to be designated an International Dark Sky Reserve so this is an event not to be missed.
