South African Tourism Celebrates INDABA
The Australia and New Zealand South African Tourism team teamed up with its Indian counterparts, KwaZulu-Natal Tourism and Durban Tourism to host close to 150 hosted buyers, tourism operators and media on Friday 9th May at a networking function at Zack’s – North Beach in Durban, South Africa.
The celebration marked the launch of Indaba, Africa’s largest travel trade show, which commenced on the 10 May and wraps up today. The event provided the tourism bodies a chance to enjoy a night of good food and festivities in one of Durban’s local institutions, while soaking up live music and networking ahead of the three day Expo.
“We are excited to have a solid group of industry professionals here with us to share in, and celebrate, the world-class tourism product South Africa offers Australian and New Zealand travel agents and travellers,” said Lalie Ngozi, General Manager: Australasia, South African Tourism.
“We have had another fantastic Indaba and hope our guests enjoyed the heightened celebration as we commemorate 20 years of freedom and democracy – making the Rainbow Nation the destination to visit in 2014.”
Indaba 2014 was held at the Durban International Convention Centre with 9,754 guests in attendance. For more information, please visit http://www.indaba-southafrica.net
