Mr Deed congratulated Mr Amos on his appointment and welcomed him to the role.

“We are excited to have secured Carl’s experience and knowledge to this role, which will provide diverse marketing support for our range of tourism products in Fiji,” Mr Deed said.

“Carl is already well known within the tourism industry in New Zealand, Fiji and globally, and I am quite confident he will quickly and comfortably settle in to this role,” he said.

“The role will work with the tourism trade, as well as consumer media, to promote our group of experiences which range from boutique small ship cruising with Blue Lagoon Cruises, to backpacker and luxury experiences in the remote Yasawa Islands, resort transfers and one day tourism experiences in the Mamanuca Islands, and voluntourism programs,”

“It is a busy time at South Sea Cruises with the restructure of the marketing team and I am excited by the opportunities this brings us to further leverage these already well known and loved brands.”
Mr Amos was excited to commence in the role.

“Having worked for Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and a variety of roles in Air New Zealand, I already have a knowledge and passion for Fiji, and to work with these brands is an exciting opportunity,” Mr Amos said.

“There are big plans for further development of the tourism offering in the Yasawas, and that presents even more opportunities for us to provide amazing and genuine experiences to our Fiji visitors from all over the world,” he said.
“I look forward to working with the many stakeholders involved in helping us get that message out there to travellers.”
