Spanish cuisine and cocktail paired events featuring Mixologist Javier de las Muelas of Dry and Michelin Star Chef Carles Tejedor

World-renowned Master of Mixology, Javier de las Muelas from DRY, returns to Bali’s hottest beachfront restaurant Sundara, bringing along Spain’s Michelin star Chef Carles Tejedor for two extraordinary culinary events on July 23 and July 26, 2014.

Together with Javier de las Muelas, master of the award-winning Dry Martini Bar in Barcelona and one of the world’s most influential Mixologists, Sundara features an exciting cocktail menu that takes guests on a journey through the senses amidst a sexy and sophisticated beachfront ambience.

Javier de las Muelas, who had trained Sundara’s Bar team for a whole month before the opening, is now returning to Bali with the newest global trends in Mixology. DRY is one of the leading global consultancy companies, constantly defining new international Mixology trends by combining intricate preparations, unique textures and complex flavors.

Sundara will welcome Javier de las Muelas and another star of Spain’s culinary world, Michelin Star Chef Carles Tejedor. The chef, who spent seven years leading Barcelona’s legendary Via Venetor Restaurant,  is coming to Bali with one mission: to conjure up Spain’s best tastes and flavors onto the palates of Sundara’s guests. Carles is also the man behind Oil Motion, a project that aims to spread knowledge of oil all around the world.

IMG_5812In celebration of DRY’s return, Sundara will host two extraordinary Spanish-inspired events at different venues. On Wednesday July 23, guests will be treated to a delicious variety of pass around tapas such as ‘Whitebait’, ‘Charcuterie Iberica’ and ‘Fideua Fideua’ which will be paired with DRY’s world-class Pitcher cocktails at the Sundara Bar. The standing event, accompanied by Live DJ, which will begin around the time of Jimbaran Bay’s dazzling sunset at 5.30pm till 8.30pm, guarantees exquisite Spanish cuisine in a chilled and social setting. The event is priced at Rp. 950.000++.

On Saturday July 26, Sundara invites guests to Sundara Mezzanine to experience live cooking at its highest level with a masterpiece menu of the finest Spanish cuisine.  The culinary journey will be defined by different live cooking stations and Spain’s most renowned culinary export: the ‘Paella’, prepared by a Michelin Star Chef. Guests will be able to observe and interact with the chef as well as learn the newest trends in Mixology from live cocktail stations. Spanish classics such as ‘A Feira Octopus’, ‘Iberian Pork Filet’ and ‘Prawns in garlic’ together with a live band playing latino music will turn this night into a Spanish fiesta. The event which begins at 6.30 pm and ends at 9.30pm, is priced at Rp. 1.400.000++.
