Special Kids Rate for Hotel Buffet

Hong Kong’s five star Harbour Grand Kowloon hotel has come up with a novel solution to the question of what to charge for children who dine  with their parents at the hotel’s sumptuous Easter buffets later this month.

Easter at HK Harbour Grand

To go with special Easter family rates for  suites and family rooms the harbourside property is offering VIK (Very Important Kid) prices  of HK$1 per 1cm of height for  up to two children eating with their parents.

Sounds like a  fair deal for everyone but it brings to mind an observation once made by legendary  Brisbane Courier-Mail journalist  Mike O’Connor who noted in a weekend column: “The teams of children rampaging through the luncheon buffet on my South Pacific each seemed  easily capable of eating their own weight in food in a single sitting”.
