The Wakatobi National Marine Park dubbed the ultimate Underwater Nirwana, lies in South East Sulawesi and contains some of the most mind-boggling underwater life found on earth.  Counting at least 850 coral species, it lies at the heart of the Asia-Pacific Coral Triangle.

Bank Mandiri and the British Council have together embarked on developing a community based eco-tourism area on Mola on Wakatobi comprising a number of villages, where tourist activities will both benefit local communities, while  at the same time protect the environment.  Wakatobi is already known  worldwide as a prime dive site in Indonesia.

To improve access, and facilitiate travel for tourists and divers alike, Garuda already has flights from Jakarta to the Matahora airport on Wangi-wangi island, while the airline has plans to also operate direct flights from Bali soon.
