September 6, 2013 DESTINATION No Comments Email Email

A Macarthur winery less than one hour from the Sydney CBD will take wine lovers from the vineyard to the glass in a special ‘Wine Wise’ weekend on Saturday, October 19, and Sunday, October 20, 2013.

Razorback Ridge Wines near Camden will begin the event each day at 11am with a walking tour of the vineyard and winemaking process in the winery. A practical lesson in winetasting tips then precedes a session of winetasting at the bar and then lunch, with gourmet finger food and home-Razorback Ridge vineyard vertmade slices served on the winery’s lawns overlooking the hills and dales of the historic Macarthur region where colonial pioneer, John Macarthur, gave birth to Australia’s wine industry in 1817, using cuttings he brought here from France.

The Wine Wise day tour with lunch costs $48 per person for Saturday or Sunday and advance bookings are required. Call Razorback Ridge Wines on 0416 521 753 or visit www.razorbackridgewines.com.au.
