B2B sales become over 60% of Sports Events 365 revenues in 2018 and the trend continues to intensify, as an increasing number of travel industry providers have discovered how major sports events can contribute to their bottom line

Over 60% of Sports Events 365 (www.sportsevents365.com) revenues last year were derived from B2B ticket sales, the company revealed. The trend toward B2B sales has intensified in the past few years as an increasing number of travel industry providers have discovered how major sports events can contribute to their bottom line. Sports Events 365, the provider of database and tickets for sports and music events worldwide, which actively targets the global travel market, has gone through a transformation since its founding in 2006 as primarily a B2C service. The company’s CEO and founder Sefi Donner and Director of Business Development John Melchior will be discussing this transformation at the annual Travel Technology Europe exhibition taking place at the Olympia Exhibition Center in London on February 20-21, 2019. Sports Events 365 will also be exhibiting at the exhibition.

“Travel websites, travel agencies, hotel chains and airlines have been jumping on the bandwagon, taking advantage of our unique service to offer their customers the option of a sporting event,” said Sports Events 365 CEO Donner. Some of the biggest names in the industry including Expedia, TUI and China’s CTRIP, the country’s largest online travel agency, have come on board.

A decade ago Sports Events 365 began offering its database on the websites of its first B2B customers. This led to the development of the company’s white label capabilities. In 2011 an API option was added enabling partners to utilize Sports Events 365’s database in order to offer tickets directly on their own sites. Over 600 companies currently use our white label & API services.

“B2B sales have been increasing more than twice as fast as our original B2C offering, which continues to grow at a healthy clip,” noted Donner. Sports Events 365’s existing range of technologies includes web tools ranging from API/XML, RSS, CSVs to white labels, that allow travel-related companies to sell tickets to sporting events on their own websites either directly or through Sports Events 365’s solutions. Its B2B website is currently in eight languages including English and French that can be integrated into sites of Sports Events 365’s partners in the travel industry. In addition, seven software companies offering booking engines to travel companies have taken Sports Events 365’s database, and offer it directly to their customers alongside flights, hotels and other travel services.

Sports Events 365 was founded in 2006 and operates an independent and self-owned, destination-based search engine. Last year the company sold over 40,000 tickets. Its B2C website is available in 22 languages and offers 60,000 events a year in 150 countries.

Sports Events 365 offers tickets for a full range of sporting events from football matches in all major European leagues, international championships, prominent tennis events, European basketball and rugby, as well as American basketball (NBA), football (NFL), ice hockey (NHL) and baseball (MLB) events. In addition, the company offers tickets to concerts of world-class artists such as Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and many more.

Sports Events 365 will exhibit at TTE 2019 at stand T107 in the exhibition hall at the Olympia.
