They’re bold, they’re on top of their game and they want to be heard. For International Women’s Day on March 8th, we’re celebrating strong female voices on Spotify.
Ariana Grande – who has more than 56 million monthly listeners and yet another hit album with “thank u, next” – tops our list of the most-streamed female artists globally from January 1 – March 1, 2019. The powerhouse singer is followed by breakout sensation and “bury a friend” singer Billie Eilish, with global superstar Lady Gaga coming in third.
Spotify also released the most-streamed female artists in Hong Kong. Ariana Grande’s listeners raised her to the position of Spotify’s most-streamed female artist in Hong Kong. Joey Yung, Lady Gaga, Janice Vidal and Taylor Swift rounded out the Top 5 Most Streamed Females in the city, respectively. Here is the list of the top 10:
