Spring savings are in full bloom aboard European Waterways’ luxury hotel barges in France, Italy and Scotland

European Waterways, Europe’s largest luxury hotel barging cruise company, is offering significant savings for cabins and full boat charters on selected 2016 cruises and hotel barges in France, Italy, Scotland, and other destinations. All specials must be booked by February 15, 2016 to qualify.


Among the many specials, travellers can save €1,000 (AU$1,565) per cabin on hotel bargesL’Impressionniste in Burgundy, Rosa in Gascony, La Bella Vita in Italy, and the Scottish Highlander in Scotland.

Savings of €4,000 (AU$6,250) for whole boat charters are being offered to families and small groups onRosa and the Scottish Highlander. Travellers can also enjoy generous savings of €6,000 (AU$9,380) off full boat charters on La Belle Epoque in Burgundy and €10,000 (AU$15,635) off full boat charters aboard La Bella Vita.

Cruises span the best of Europe, from the vineyards, medieval towns and castles of France, to the Renaissance architecture and culture of Italy, and the majestic backdrop and wildlife of the Scottish Highlands.

“Spring is one of the best times for a European Waterways’ cruise, when the landscape is coming to life, the weather is enchanting, and crowds have yet to start pouring into the popular attractions,” said Derek Banks, Managing Director of European Waterways. “Every year, more and more people are discovering the exceptional experience of gently drifting along the charming canals and inland waterways of Europe aboard our luxury hotel barges.”

Cabin Specials for ‘The Best of Times’

Spring is an ideal time to visit Europe for a hotel barge cruise, with temperatures perfect for walking and sightseeing, exploring the many quaint villages with their local markets, and enjoying activities that include golfing, wine tasting, biking and family attractions.

European Waterways is offering €1,000 (AU$1,565) off per cabin aboard L’Impressionniste for cruises onApril 10 and 17, as well as May 8, 22 and 29.  Navigating the Burgundy Canal, L’Impressionniste winds through the heart of renowned vineyards, medieval towns and quaint little villages that are perched upon the scenic hilltops. Also cruising the Burgundy Canal, the 12-passenger La Belle Epoque is offering €6,000 (AU$9,380) off the full-boat charter price for April 3 and 17, and May 1 and 8 departures.

Further south in France, European Waterways is offering €1,000 (AU$1,565) off per cabin aboard the 8-passenger Rosa for its cruises in Gascony on April 24 and June 5. Highlights include crossing a 1,000 foot aqueduct over the River Tarn, visiting the UNESCO-classified Moissac Abbey and private Armagnac and wine tastings.  There is also €4,000 (AU$6,250) off for a full boat charter of Rosa on April 17, as well as all departures in May, and on June 12 and 19.

Renaissance Wonders and Highland Greens

The stylish 20-passenger La Bella Vita, cruising between Venice and the Renaissance city of Mantua in Italy, also beckons, offering a saving of €1,000 (AU$1,565) per cabin for its May 15 departure. Large families, friends, or special interest groups can also save an exceptional €10,000 (AU$15,635) off the full boat charter price for departures on March 27, as well as during all of April, May and June 2016.

In Scotland, the 8-passenger Scottish Highlander takes guests on an extraordinary cruise across scenic lochs and along the Caledonian Canal that reveals ancient castles, spectacular Highland vistas and abundant wildlife. European Waterways is offering €1,000 (AU$1,565) off per cabin aboard the Scottish Highlanderfor departures on April 10 and 17 and small groups can save €4,000 (AU$6,250) off a whole boat charter for any departure in May, as well as the June 5 departure.

Cabin specials are based on double occupancy and all specials must be booked by February 15 2016.
