See below for an insight into Turkey’s spring festivals that are sure to excite: Butterfly Valley Breeding Season – Fethiye and Oludeniz (April – June) Step off the beaten path into Butterfly Valley near Fethiye during butterfly breeding season from April to June for a glimpse at the rare Jersey Tiger Moth.

A boat to the protected valley, just beyond Oludeniz along the coast towards Faralya, will take wildlife lovers into a 1,150 foot-deep canyon towards a waterfall where the butterflies can be seen in a pristine setting with very little else other than a few tree houses and a small beach bar. Art Bosphorus (May 22 – 25) Art Bosphorus Contemporary Art Fair, curated around the concept of “New Look”, brings together art lovers and contemporary works created with new perspectives.

Art Bosphorus is a dynamic, different and energetic fair that cherishes art. The fair also welcomes art groups, special initiatives, institutions at its specially designed space. Apart from the main exhibition hall, Art Bosphorus will host video projects, installations and a sculpture garden, all of which are prime meeting points for art lovers and collectors. The fair will be held at Istanbul’s Harbiye Military Museum and Congress Center.

To commemorate its 10th year, Istanbul’s Life Park will once again be home to the festival but this year attendees will experience 24 non-stop hours of performances happening on 3 stages.
