The South Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) is excited at the prospects of new members and strengthening ties with existing members at Papua New Guinea’s biggest tourism exhibition ‘Lukim Nau’ (Look Now).
The annual event is being held from 27th – 28th September at the Port Moresby nature park and is steered by the Papua New Guinea Tourism Industry Association with assistance from the Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority. The exchange will host over 35 international travel agents and 35 local tourism exhibitors whom will conduct business to business (B2B) type appointments.
SPTO Chief Executive Ilisoni Vuidreketi stated: “PNG Lukim Nau provides SPTO with a fantastic opportunity to extend our network in Papua New Guinea and amongst the international travel agents that will attend the exchange.”
“We will use the exchange to entice the PNG tourism operators to take advantage of our membership benefits and encourage the international travel agents to sign up to our South Pacific Specialist Program”, he added.
“We also have an exciting 8-night incentive holiday prize to PNG for travel agents that sign up and complete our online South Pacific Specialist training,” he added.
The Papua New Guinea Lukim Nau Tourism Exchange kick started on Wednesday 23rd September with tourism awareness programmes and will culminate with the tourism trade exhibition on Monday 28th September.
