STA Travel and Busabout today announced a new partnership that will offer Australians and New Zealanders exclusive travel and tour options to one of Europe’s most celebrated music festivals – EXIT in Serbia.

Exit Festival was founded in 2000 as a student movement fighting for democracy and freedom and protesting against the Milosevic regime. Today, the EXIT festival attracts over 200,000 people from 60 countries around the world and was voted as the ‘Best Major Festival’ for 2013 by the European Festival Awards.unnamed (1)

EXIT is held within the walls of the historic Petrovaradin Fortress, which was originally constructed in 1692, and has grown to see acts like Snoop Dogg, The Prodigy, Guns n’ Roses, Bloc Party, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and Fatboy Slim grace its stages in recent years.

The STA Travel and Busabout partnership will ensure Australian and New Zealand travellers are guaranteed a ticket to the 2014 EXIT Music Festival in Novi Sad, Serbia, as well as having transportation, tours and accommodation all taken care of.

STA Travel Australia’s Marketing and eCommerce director, Natalie Placko-Thornton, said Australian travellers are showing greater interest in attending music festivals overseas and are often planning their travels around their favourite acts playing at different events.

“We are really excited by this partnership as we will be able to offer an all-inclusive festival experience for our travellers. We’ve brought together the best of STA Travel and Busabout to make it easy to enjoy Europe’s incredible summer festivals.  With this great package, travellers don’t have to worry about buying a ticket to the festival or sourcing overseas accommodation close by, it’s all taken care of for them,” she said.

The 6 day trip is exclusive to STA Travel and Busabout and includes:

  • EXIT Music Festival ticket
  • 1 night at Wombats hostel Budapest
  • 4 nights at EXIT site hostel, Novi Sad
  • 5 breakfasts, 1 dinner

“Busabout have fantastic connections with festival organisers and it’s enabled us to connect Europe’s most popular festival at the moment with Australian and New Zealand travellers,” said Tina McIntosh, General Manager of Busabout.

“One of the best things about Exit Festival is its setting at Petrovaradin Fortress in the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. It’s where old world history meets new music from musicians and DJs from all over the world and we can’t wait to share it with our passengers,” she said.
