Staff And Guests Join Hands To Save The Earth At Hawthorn Suites By Wyndham Dubai, JBR

Joining one billion other people around the globe who took part in Earth Day projects, hotel staff and guests at the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Dubai, JBR took to the sands of Jumeirah Beach for a beach clean-up on April 22nd.

In addition, lights were dimmed in the hotel for one hour in the evening and staff cleared the hotel garbage bins at the end of the day.

The measures were small in nature, but still enormously significant, according to General Manager Wael El Behi, who said Earth Day was an opportunity to slow down and appreciate the beauty of the planet, as well as focus on efforts to preserve and conserve this bounty.

“By coming together at the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Dubai, we can make a difference for ourselves and for others, and we were delighted at the response both from in-house guests and from our staff members who were eager to get involved,” he said.

“As much as anything, Earth Day is about education and we have hopefully done our part to raise awareness of both the annual event and how people can get involved in activities such as beach clean-ups, tree-planting, and more.”
